1995 : First shows on stilts
Creations : The Art of Cartography and Colimaçon en Escalier, that took place under a desert tent using music, incense, dance, puppetry, slide projections, lights and shadows to take the audience members to a peaceful and haunting universe. Inspired by several different stories by Borges and the Germanic myths of Loki and Balder. On tour in USA, Mexico, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain.

1996 : Begat Theater settled in Marseille, in the oldest neighborhood in France, Le Panier, and began to work year round with its community (particpation in carnivals Neighborhood Festival, creation of two different teams of stilt-walkers, puppetry classes in schools). Creation of TANGRAM, an indoor puppet show inspired by the ancient Chinese puzzle (theater, dance, puppetry). Creation of De la Rumeur au Bûcher ("From Rumor to the Stake") with 14 stiltwalkers and 3 musicians.

1998 brings the company to a new location, on the outskirts of Marseille, in an old Carriage Stop from the 18th century. The company continues to work in Marseille for the Carnival, where this year they led a group of 600 people dressed in blue including 30 stiltwalkers, 4 giant puppets, 40 percussionists, and 30 dancers. Beginning of a two year-long workshop on street theater with 15 adults in Marseille.
